Thrilling, spine-tingling and intelligent, The Silence of Six will blow you away. The cover is what initially made me want to read this novel, though the colours are dark the cover holds a strong presence alongside being rather unnerving.

When Max watches his best friend Evan kill himself live on screen, he takes it upon himself to return to the online world he left behind. Immersing himself into a game run by his best friend and new acquaintance, Max must learn the truth about his fellow hackers, and understand the Government's hidden, online crimes. But most importantly, there alliances with one of their strongest predators.

My only drawback in this novel were our characters; I find it hard to connect with them. They were all incredibly intelligent and aware of security but yet I found them doing some strange and some-what ridiculous things. On the other hand, my enjoyment of the novel was not affected by the characters due to the clever and sophisticated plot line.

The plot Myers created was engaging and thought provoking. He truly made you think about the darker  crevices to the internet and what really is lurking behind them; it unleashed new ideas that could truly happen in real-life. I have always loved novels that deal with espionage and hacking, meaning this was straight-up-my-alley and was done marvellously!

An intelligent and chilling novel that will really make you think about the hidden aspects to the internet and large, online companies.
